ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

Hi Carol, that is the only copy I have of the design and Des never made a high resolution for it. When I was making the hoodies it gave me an error saying it might not print correctly, but they turned out great and where bown up the maimum for the back:) The only thing you may be able to do is save it on your computer and play around the settings. I've never gotten that creative with pictures--sorry.

You'll have to post a picture of your mugs--that sounds really cute:)

The later checkout will make your morning nice and relaxing---ENJOY!!!!!:goodvibes

Paula,

So busy lately trying to catch up reading in here. What time is the Disney Lumberjack show?
Kimbelry

Hey Kimberly, it is at 4:45. We've missed you around here:)

Here's the current roster, I have been keeping it updated. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=40626636&postcount=174

Thanks For all the work you do!! Paula our family still wants to do the FE.

These excursions show no availibilty for our cruise:
3 Port Package for Families
3 Port Package for Young Families
3 Port for Adventure Seekers
3 Port Package for Flight Seeing
Glacier Dog Musher for a day--Juneau
Glacier View Bike & Hatchery--Juneau
Whale Watching & Salmon Bake--Juneau

Love any updates on excursions and stuff. I can't make any ressies until June 1st.

Thanks to the other thread we have the following number of ships including ours in port:

Skagway: Regatta (7-1800), Sea Princess (7-2000), Spirit (7-2100) us (7-2000)

Juneau: Regatta (12-1900), Spirit (9-1500), us (730-1700)

Ketchikan: Regatta (1300-2000), Spirit (7-1300), Infinity (7-1600), Radiance (7-1700), Amsterdam (7-1700) and us (1330-2000)

Oh my the people in Skagway and Ketchikan!

This is a lot of boats!!! Great info.

I just spoke to a very hepful Cast Member at DCL with some of my excursion questions and he thew a monkey wrench into our Skagway planning (but it was nice to have the information).

There will be no White Pass Railway with Youth Activity offered on our cruise. He said there were only 3 cruises when it would not be offered and those were the first 2 and the last one. I am assuming this is because kids are in school and they don't expect a lot fo kids on board.

Now, we must find an excursion DD can do in Skagway.

What was the problem with Skagway? I am trying to do Liasville and the train. I have a 5ys old girl too. It looks like the kids would have fun at Liarville and the train looks beautiful. I have read lots of reviews on both. I think I am booking them outside Disney.

Would love to see if the kids would like to try to be friends. It would be great for the kids club.

Kimberly

Booked a 5 night stay to WDW July 10th-15th this morning with another couple that we have cruised with several times. Talked about it at midnight last night, called DVC this morning and we are set to go. This was so much easier than my "family" trip we are doing in June.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We ended up booking nothing through DCL for the excursions. I booked the Taku Float plane through Shoretrips in Juneau. The rest of my party are going to take the shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier ($16 rt)--that way they can stay as long as they want. Then hope to take the tram if the day is nice. If by chance our floatplane gets cancelled we'll just go with them.

Skagway--doing the Dyea Dave tour to Emerald Lake and we are leaning towards taking the train back. Tracy is the rest of your party doing this too?

Ketchikan we are taking the bus (4 quarters each way) to Potlatch Park to see the poles and the carver there & walking through Totem Bight. Then seeing the Lumber jack show in the afternoon. They don't show any availability for any of the last ones for the Disney Exclusive--so those would now have to be booked through the ship.

Booked Palo for dinner on Day 2 (formal night) and high tea at 3 pm that day and brunch on the last sea day.

Bought us all ponchos yesterday to pack and I bought some fleece to make an attempt at making some scarves. No telling how those will turn out:rotfl: I'm not the most crafty person in the world.

Enjoy your day. I have a pile of paperwork to get into the work computer downstairs that is waiting patiently for me to get to.

Tracey and Paula,

Everything I have read about the train if you get a chance to take it back jump on it. Only bad thing is if there is fog.

Paula tried last night to get tickets to Lumber Jack show and yes its SOLD OUT on web. Hoping maybe as we get closer it will open up.

Everything your doing looks great.

If you get a change can anyone answer these question or help??

1. What time are the main meals? Breakfast, lunch and dinner for sit down and what times are the late?

2. Also love update as June 1st approaches on times at Palo or SOLD OUT excursions. THANKS!!!

I know there aren't any of the characters at the Disney show, it's a little longer and a little more geared to kids. But it would save you quite a bit to buy direct if you were looking to buy a child ticket for your son--the age is 12 online and DCL charges adult for 10 and up for one of the earlier shows.

I believe dinner times are 6:00 (but may be 5:45 and late is 8:15pm)
If you have late they will pick your kids up from dining at 9:15 if you'd like. (They will serve them quicker so you can enjoy a more leisurely meal---I've seen lots of people do this) I think breakfast at BBB and Parrot Cay start at 7. Triton will open a little later for a menu meal. BBB opens for lunch around 11am and closes at 2. The counter services on deck 9 open around 10 I think and at least 1 of them is open until midnight? I would think Tritons would open at noon for lunch and close around 1:30 or so

The shows were 6:15 and 8:30

2. Also love update as June 1st approaches on times at Palo or SOLD OUT excursions. THANKS!!!

Remind me and I'll be glad to go have a look. I was looking at something yesterday and Palo still had tables for 1 or 2 for brunch and up to 4 for dinner. High tea was still unavailable.

Alan & I really liked Stranger Tides last night. Saw it in 3D. Saw the previews for Cars2--that looked cute. Both of those should be playing on the ship. that was the 1st time we had been to the movies in about 2 years--so it was fun seeing it on the big screen:)

I have 2 stops to make to get some supplies for work, Meijers and the Dollar Tree. I really need to get my butt in gear. It's beautiful here today and I sure don't want to spend all afternoon at work.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday:goodvibes

I am looking forward to seeing Pirates on the ship and would be a wonderful bonus if we got Cars2 2! (I am so cheap havent been to the movies at a theater since 2009 so looking forward to it on ship!!:rotfl:)

For me the real 1st name. I don't remember name very well.:confused3

Can you send me the logo again for the t-****s. My computer I had it on crapped out on me. travelwithtracy at mcsnet dot ca

First names are good, I am going to use it on future cruises as well so either will be fine.

I guess I need to get in gear ~ this sure feels like my first cruise cuz now I gotta start looking into the shirts you all are working on. so thanks for saying who you all are doing yours with so I can check it out.

I am gonna start on my mickey ears and my magnets next month. I am so not crafty/artistic so gotta start early to see how they turn out.:rotfl2:

Oh boy, oh boy! So wishing I could make a trip to WDW and/or DL! Guess I will just have to live vicariously through you all:goodvibes

I decided to do the same thing and not book through DCL unless I was desparate for a tour. I agree that more time at the Glacier and the tram is what I am going to focus on. Someone said that in August there are more bears so hopefully we see the whales on ship and the bears on shore.

Skagway--doing the Dyea Dave tour to Emerald Lake and we are leaning towards taking the train back. Tracy is the rest of your party doing this too?

I am hoping to get the 8am ferry to Haines and return at 1pm and then do the Visitor Center walking tour.

They don't show any availability for any of the last ones for the Disney Exclusive--so those would now have to be booked through the ship.

I have found a walking tour with Adventures Audio Tour in Ketchikan so that I can do what I want when I want and stay for how ever long I want.

Booked Palo for dinner on Day 2 (formal night) and high tea at 3 pm that day and brunch on the last sea day.

So hoping that there is Brunch for 3 on the last sea day so that we can celebrate our family birthdays. June 1st is the big day for me as well.

Piikea, If your brunch isn't showing available when you go to book online. Go to Beat Street and sign up. Honestly, you should not have a problem getting your brunch. They hold half of them back for booking onboard.

One of the threads I was reading talkied about that they had changed how they were doing the booking onboard for Palo, but for the life of me I can't remember if it was the Dream or the Magic class. But they said it was right when you boarded and may set up on the staircase. But that may have been the day boarding was so messed up in Vancouver----I am going to hate to see how my memory is in a few years.:scared1:

Everyone's plans sound great for the cruise---makes you wish we had 2 days in each port so we could do more.

I was reading about Haines--that will be awesome:goodvibes

BTW, my work is still patiently waiting for me---I've been working on FE gifts today:) It has been a nice lazy stay in my pjs kind of day:)

:rotfl2:

I know exactly how you mean...watching Harry Potter Marathon (since there is not Pirates on)...and doing my DCL planning and boards reading!

There goes the vacuuming and the laundry....:rotfl:

Saw Pirates 4 this weekend - IMHO better than 2 and MUCH better than 3. The plot line was easier to follow & loved the interactions between Angelica & Jack and Barbossa & Jack - Blackbeard was a worthy villain & while the end wrapped things up nicely, there's still plenty of room for a sequel.

Still trying what to decide in Juneau - we have a "local connection" (good friend who grew up there & still has family in the area) & she may be able to get us a good deal on a tour.
