Alaska Airlines Companion Pass (Or Other Cheap HI Flight Ideas)

We are a family of 4, and are considering Hawaii in June 2021. Trying to find ways to keep flight costs down, including try to rack up points on the best airfare cc (we don't have any yet). Is it possible for each my husband and I to get separate Alaska Airlines cards, so that we can each get a companion pass for kids?

Yep. You and your husband can each apply for your own card. You can do this for any credit card actually! Keep in mind the AS companion fare still costs $99 ($121 with taxes and fees I think).

Absolutely! Each of you will be able to designate one child to be their companion. Then you simply pay cash for your own flights.

We use the companion passes when flying to Lihue. We have two Alaska credit cards. The tickets to Hawaii have higher taxes so the companion fare is usually around $145. But still better than the $700 the first ticket usually costs.
