alamo question

I'm a quick silver member and last year when i rented from alamo i was able to go directly to the garage, pick a car from my aisle and drive straight to the booth. this year i was able to get a decent rate using a coupon from the entertainment book with the walmart code. can i still go directly to the lot and booth using a coupon since i'm a quick silver member??

Shouldn't be a problem, unless somewhere on your ressie it says you have to go to the counter (I've heard some coupons and deals - like Priceline - require a counter check in). We did what you're asking last fall at Alamo (MCO), used an online coupon from Alamo's website and bypassed the counter. No worries!

Not sure about QS members but reg customers must use counter or kiosk if using a coupon incl ecoupons. The kiosks are always empty and plentiful even while the line is long.
It takes about 2 mins to enter your conf # on the touch screen, confirm everything and tear off the receipt. Your email confirmation will state 1 of 2 options:
Check in Online or Save Time
With Online Check in you can go straight to the garage. With Save Time, you enter address, DL, CC, etc. from home computer and then you're able to use the kiosk to check in.

I don't know how QS affects all of this. Didn't that used to be a separate line for members?

I have found that if you have ever rented from Alamo in the past SaveTime is a very quick process. You can prepopulate most items on your reservation in SameTime after entering your drivers license number. I don't think it requests your CC number though until you actually swipe it at the kiosk or counter. If you have used SameTime or any other online reservation method, I don't know why you would stand in line. But then the kiosk like would be very long and that would be bad for us using the kiosks.

I am also a quick silver member and have used Entertainment Book coupons, I have been able to go directly to the garage and just check out with the attendant there, they never even asked to see the coupon BTW although I still always make sure to have it with me.
