Alamo Internet prepay 10% discount, caution

On the alamo website they offer a 10% discount for prepayed online checkin, which allows you to skip the counter and go directly to your car (with preprinted paperwork, just show documents and credit card at the gate).

I just booked my car and did the prepay and the 10% discount was not applied. I had to call customer service and the lady had to manually apply the 10%. Then I had to log back on and do the checkin proces all over again. My concern now is that both checkins are on the same confirmation number so I hope I don't get double billed on my credit card.

If anyone uses this feature be sure to note your total and be sure they apply the discount.

Are you talking about the trip on your ticker, or one much sooner than that? I'd wait a couple/few days, then call your credit card company and see now if you were double-charged (and then keep an eye on your bills)

Yeh! I am gonna keep an eye on the CC bills, just wanted to let anyone using this feature know that the website isn't figuring the discount, or didn't in my case at least.

Yes it is for the Feb'07 trip , found a really good rate and booked early. I try to book a few thing staggered out in advance of the trips so the bills don't all come at once. Room is DVC (so cost covered), flight has been paid last month, now the rental is out of the way. Should just have food on the CC when we return home.
