Alamo coupon question

This may be obvious, but...
I am currently holding a good rate for our August trip and now also have been able to get a coupon that I would also like to apply to the reservation. The last time I tried to do this online I inadvertently cancelled the reservation! Can I just present the coupon at the counter and will it be applied?
