ALAMO Car Hire

Hi,

This will be our first time as adults. We're hiring a car from Alamo. The travel agent mentioned that as we are under the age of 25, we'll need to pay a premium once there. Does anyone know any more than this? How much etc? Payable in cash or any form?

Have you rented the car as a package or seperate? Have you paid anything?
can you cancel it with no fee?

I believe Alamo charge $25+tax per day, for a 2 week holiday that works out approx £230. See here http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/faq-restrictions.aspx

Usually the best way is to do your own rental thru someone like usrentacar.co.uk (there are many more) 2 weeks rental with tank of gas, and young drivers policy with Budget from £374.00 inclusive.

would shop around as well, when i was under 25 i rented direct with virgin holidays and the under 25 fee was included

Like wayne has said usrentacar do under 25s and we have rented from them on several occasions with no problems
