Alamo Car Hire - Is it worth going for "luxury" category?

We usually get an SUV but since there is just the two of us this time I thought a "luxury" would be nice. What kind of cars are in this category? I did consider a convertible but I think it would annoy me after a while with the heat/wind etc.

Thanks for any advice! :goodvibes

Alamo Cadillac DTS or similar
Dollar Lincoln Towncar or similar, I once got a Chrysler 300

Could get anything like these, they have so many different models its rare to get same twice.

Personally I would prefer something like a 7 seater SUV(like the tahoe we had in Feb) to a Luxury car, Full size is my limit for a car the Premium, Luxury or Convertibles don't interest me.

we got a cadillac one year, but then we went back to the minivan (much more room)..

don't think i'd get a cadi again...big, but not really very roomy inside...

i don't know what's available, but if they were renting something like a porsche carrera...oh yeah....now THAT would be fun!!!!

We had a Cadillac last year and the boyfriend was very impressed by the many toys that came with it (built in sat nav, sirius radio, head up display, heated seats) so I have had to book him one again this year! We are driving quite a long distsnce though so it will be nice to be comfy.

We got a Tahoe this year as an SUV was only about £15 more than a Moderate and the other half was in heaven being allowed to drive a 'Yank Tank' - even though it's just the 2 of us and even though we never did figure out how to open the full trunk :rotfl:

Have to agree though, the SUV's definitely appeal to us more than a Luxury car now.

that reminds me -
all those toys..
DH hit the onstar button (i think that's what it's called)...
he was fooling around with all the buttons and hit the onstar one by mistake - immediately someone came on the air talking to us....scared us to death!!
this was way back when onstar first came out...
it was included with the Cadillac....i would never have ordered or paid for it.
