We're renting a full size car from Alamo at MCO for our trip this month. What cars are typically in the full size section?

Thanks!

One tip I picked up here that has been confirmed repeatedly is that Alamo at MCO does not have a "Standard" aisle. It's all Full Size. So you might as well book the Standard car if it's a few dollars cheaper because you'll end up with a Full Size anyway.
I have seen mentioned over and over that it's a lot of Impalas. I can't remember any other types, but Impala comes up a lot. We're fine with that because they have a very big trunk. There's 5 of us and the SUV's and Vans were way too high this trip. The Impala will have to hold 3 suitcases. My neighbour has one and I took a look. It will hold our luggage no problem.

We booked standard and used a code for a free upgrade. There are 5 of us as well, so an Impala would be perfect.

You would have received a free upgrade to a full size with a standard rental. You would have been better off booking a midsize and getting the free upgrade to standard, which since we do not have a standard section at MCO, would have put you into a full size car. Impalas have the largest trunk in the full size category.

In most cases when I'm shopping around for MCO or other airports, the price is the same for a standard or a full size so to me that's really not an upgrade. If there is a difference, it's around $3.

Very true for MCO.

Our experience with Full Size at MCO is mostly Altimas, Camrys, Impalas.

Thanks gmeh1 for correction on it not being Luminas -- my bad. We never pick the Chevy options so it all seems the same to me.

Thanks for the info! We have a Camry, so that would be great as well.

How are the trunks in the Altimas and Camrys?

There will be five of us. We'll each have a carry-on and I was thinking 3 suitcases. I read some threads today though that made me think that with the Impala we could fit 4 suitcases (full size). If we have to put the carry-ons at our feet or in our laps that's fine. We don't absolutely need a fourth suitcase, but it would be nice to bring one with extra room in it to bring the inevitable purchases home:roll eyes:

I suppose I could lug our suitcases to the neighbours driveway and ask if I can try to fit them in her trunk but I already look like a nutbar for asking to look at the size of her trunk :p

Camrys and Altimas have smallish trunks. The Malibu and Impala have the largest trunks. I would go for the Impala if I were you and wanted to be comfortable.

We are in orlando right now at the HRH and we picked up a camry (brand new with only 650 miles on it!) around 9:30 at night. Its a great car with alot of room. Three will fit comfortabilly in the back. We are four and have 2 large duffles and three carry ons fit in the truck. I booked standard and the garage directed me over to the full size aisle. Did look at an impala but like the car we got better.

We got a VW passat from the full size aisle, we also saw camry's, charger's, impala's, altima's and a few mini vans and small suv's.

Thank you gmeh1:)
We'll likely go for the Impala. I'll pack conservatively just in case. :)

I'm glad I stumbled on this thread because I've been going back and forth trying to decide if I should pay the difference and get a Full Size, but if there is no "Standard" aisle and I'm going to get a Full Size anyway I can just rent the Standard size and be happy! Thanks!:thumbsup2
