Al Lutz posted another great article yesterday with all of his usual insider scoops. See www.miceage.com/allutz/al022007a.htm

Here are some highlights:

1. Nemo Sub Ride - June 11 opening is shaky, and low ride capacity will cause extremely long lines this summer. However, the ride experience is shaping up to be an awesome one.

2. Some more info on Pirates Lair on TSI

3. DCA's upcoming Midway Mania ride, which was renamed Toy Story Mania, is now back to Midway Mania

4. DCA show "Wonderful World or Color" is being designed to be "as good or better than DL Fantasmic"

5. POTC Movie series - second trilogy being discussed/planned

6. John Lasseter - his growing influence is good news for DLR fans

WOW, thanks for the info as usual hydroguy.

I'm still hoping for the June 11 opening of Nemo as that is when I will be there. Otherwise I will wait til the fall to ride it. Call this wishful thinking!:)

I read this yesterday and as usual, it's a good article. I was a little disappointed though that he didn't talk at all about the resort hotels, the rumor of a new Del Coronado themed hotel, or the lack of the Grand Californian DVC announement in January (what's the word about this.....why wasn't there an announcement?). He talked a lot about the resort hotels and a Disneyland DVC in his last article, so I was expecting an update from him in his next article, but it didn't happen. BUMMER.:badpc:

He also didn't address the construction of the Anaheim Garden walk, which I know isn't Disney, but it will have SOME kind of impact on the DL resort, especially as competition for DTD (shopping), hotel guests (the new mall will have 4 new hotels, adding 866 hotel rooms), and for timeshare business (new mall will have 400 timeshare units). It would be kinda cool to get his take on this and how it "could" affect Disneyland Resort.:thumbsup2

So, assuming Nemo really does open on the 11th - how crazy is it going to be on the days leading up to it - we will be there the 7th-11th...I have never been right before an opening - any clues on what to expect??

I was there the week before Monsters Inc opened and the week before Buzz opened. I got to ride both many many times during soft openings and it was great. I am hoping for the same for us for Nemo. Even though June 11 opening is puched back, we may still get to ride. I rode Buzz over an entire week before it's official scheduled opening!!
