Al Disney resorts to go smoke free June 1st woo hoo

I hope this doesn't tempt some parents to leave their small children in their room alone so they can go to the designated area at the resort to smoke. At least if they are allowed to smoke on the balcony they would be close by. I am a non-smoker and someone smoking on the balcony wouldn't bother me.

I agree that it would be sad if the parents left their kids unattended. However, I don't think people should smoke on the balcony either ... when we were at VWL a couple of years ago, we had a beautiful view of the woods/water/quiet pool. We ate outside every morning. Unfortunately, several days we were forced back inside because of a neighbour smoking on their balcony. It really bothers my breathing, and I wasn't about to subject my kids to this along with their morning cereal.

That's too bad! That would bother me if I were eating as well, especially if my kids were with me. I understand where you are coming from. I'm not sure of the set up with VWL......smoking rooms should be well separated from non-smoking, especially because you have the option to eat outdoors.
