Are the studios on the 5th floor? If so is the view still worth getting? Or should I just go w a regular non DVC club room? My second question is am I more like to be able to rent a DVC club studio at AKV myself or if I were to use somebody like David's DVC?

AKV consists of two buildings, Jambo House and Kidani Village. The DVC rooms in Jambo House are on the 5th floor with Concierge Level on the 6th. Kidani Village has rooms on floors 2 thru 5 and is all DVC units. There are no Concierge units in Kidani Village.

There are only five 2-bedroom lock-offs that make up the DVC portion of Concierge Level rooms in Jambo House.

And of the DVC Club rooms, some face the pool, and some face the savannah there is no guarantee what view you get. And of the Savanna view club rooms, the view is partially blocked due to the architecture of the thatched roof.
If you want a view, you want a normal savannah view room.
And while I prefer the "closer to the animals" view on a Kidani lower floor, I would usually prefer a Jambo studio for more restaurant selection.
