AKV viewing areas

Just wondering where you can view the animals if you are in a pool view room?

I read somewhere that there are viewing areas on each floor, in the lobby and some night vision binocular stands in the pool area.

True. And Arusha rock, too. Lots of places to see the animals!

If you walk along the 2nd floor of the Zebra or Kudu trail there is a viewing area with rocking chairs along each of those hallways. The 2nd floor is one level below the lobby level. If I remember correctly, these viewing areas are near the elevators that are part way down each of those hallways.

Or maybe you'll get lucky enough to be near one of these-

This little bench was right across from my standard studio last week. I spent a few hours sitting there looking for animals.

Nice to know if we are only able to get a pool view, there's still lots of easy viewing for the kids around the resort.

Never booked at AKV before but going to try for the week before xmas at 7mos (very soon). After checking these boards last night, I think that the majority of the rooms are SV and it might even be more difficult to get a standard. I would have thought that the SV rooms would book up first like the boardwalk view at BWV, but apparently not?

Good news for me I guess, I would really like to get a SV anyway.
Now, I'll cross my fingers for an all-or-nothing try for a SV 2Bdr. pre-xmas week at AKV.
