AKV Value- Good or Bad

We are going next May, so I am getting ready to call for ressies soon. We need a 1BR- it's me, DH, DS(7) and DS(22 mos) that will be going. We've never stayed at AKV before, so we think it'll be good. For the most bang for our buck, I'm thinking of staying in the AK Value. Have you stayed in these before? If so, pros and cons? I'm not overly concerned over the view. We are get up early folks so we don't mind trekking over to a viewing spot for the animals. We have stayed at SSR, OKW and BWV, so just looking for something new. Thanks

Very nice resort! Theming is excellent. Most CMs are from the homeland. Rooms are very nice. Animals are a great bonus. Highly recommend!

Do you own at AKV? Otherwise, the Values are very hard to get. Just thought I'd mention it.

Since one of your kids is very young a value studio may work, depending on the sleeping arrangements for the toddler. I'm not sure if there would be much extra room for a portable crib but if he could sleep on the pullout sofa with your older son I think it would work fine. You basically lose most of the living space area with the value units so there isn't a lot of extra room to move around once the pullout sofa is opened.

We considered tacking on a few extra days in a value studio for our upcoming summer trip to AKV but we have gotten spoiled with 1 & 2BR units and I was afraid the value studio would have been way too cramped for the 4 of us.

We stayed in a 1 BR value at AKV last week. It was awesome.

Some of the values have parking lot views, some have pool views and some have Savannah views.

Our unit had a Savannah view and it was very cool. There was a family of 5 giraffe walking around as well as a couple of zebra & ostrich.

The room was very nicely decorated and we loved it.

The room was on the 5th floor and near the end of the hallway. It was the least noisy room we have ever stayed in at Disney! A perfect night's sleep.
