AKV Standard Studios

I am calling tomorrow to make 11 month ressies for our trip next year. I am tight on points next year because we are also taking a DCL cruise on points in April plus we have booked some time at HH in August. I am hoping to get a AKV Standard Studio. In Jambo, where exactly are the Standard rooms? Are there any Standard rooms in Kidani and if so, where are they located also? Thanks for your help.

Jambo and Kidani both have Standard view villas. LisaS has a great AKV map in her signature. Will see if I can find.

i believe standard villas at jambo are pool view and standard villas at kidani can be either pool or parking lot view, but i could be mistaken...

think all the Kidani are parking lot views.

all the Jambo House standard views are swimming pool.

there is also the value studio at Jambo House - if you really want to save. Now it is not as big - but you get a chance at savannah view, pool or parking lot.

dedicated is always savannah or pool.

Here's a Jambo House map. The Standard View are those facing the Uzima Pool except for those on the Giraffe Trail. The ones on the Giraffe Trail are the Value Villas.

I thought about the Value rooms but we're taking DD31 with us this trip and I'm concerned it would be too small. I think I'll request Jambo tomorrow - pool view would be fine with us. Thanks for the replies.

We stayed in a standard studio at AKV Jambo in August before moving over to a savannah view studio Jambo. I will tell you that our standard room was a bit smaller than the savannah view, but not by much. We enjoyed both view for different reasons. Actually my teens liked the pool view in the standard room better for some reason. I guess the animals weren't active enough to keep their attention, although they kept commenting on what animal was out the window at any given time. We also loved the point savings of the standard view. We also like Jambo House for the quick service restaurant, lobby, gift shop, etc.

The standard view at Kidani is either the pool or the front of the resort. It is not quite parking lot since the parking is under the building. At Jambo they are all pool view.

you are close to the elevator to get to Maria fairly easy.

also closer to the laundry mat.
