I don't remember seeing any word on if there is to be a shuttle running from Jambo to Kidani. Does anyone know?:confused3
I really hope there'll be one (yaaay Boma, yaaay Jiko's:thumbsup2 ).

I specifically asked that question before buying and was told that there is nothing in the current plans for a shuttle. From front door to front door, the walk will be close to 1/2 mile. From the very end of Kidani to front door of Jambo, it will probably be over 3/4 mile.

As long as the same theme park busses service both buildings (which is very likely given existing combined routes for things like Yacht / Beach Clubs and BoardWalk / Swan / Dolphin) you should at least be able to ride door-to-door quickly in one direction. If the busses stop at Jambo and then Kidani, you could hop on any bus at Jambo and ride back to Kidani.

They could even do an "Internal" bus route like they do at OKW and SSR. Following that example, the Downtown Disney busses may follow a route of Jambo - Kidani - Jambo, meaning you'd have some bus transportation in both directions if needed.

I don't know if I'd get into relying on bus transportation for inter-resort travel. The waits can be aggravating.

On the bright side, the total distance is not unlike staying at BCV and walking over to Spoodles.

....Since my physique is say, pooh-like... We should avoid short-cutting across the savanna. I wouldn't want to be mistaken as a lion's DVC snack. ;)

I believe I saw on the member site that from Kidani to Jambo it will be 2500 feet. There is a pathway connecting the two resorts.

Here is the info.

Will buses serve both buildings?
Yes, Walt Disney World® buses will service both locations. Disney's Magical Express Service buses will drop off and pick up at both locations based on the stay location.

Will the two buildings be in walking distance from each other?
Yes, there is an outdoor walking path between the two buildings (approx. 2,500-foot walk from the porte cochere of one building to the other).

Thanks..........I didn't see that info.
From some of the earlier posts about AKV, I got the (mistaken) impression that it would be a regular "trek" from Kidani to Jambo.

When talking to my guide she mentioned that one of the reasons Kidani was being set up essentially as a stand alone resort -- own large pool, restaurant, store, check-in, valet -- was because it would be such a long walk from one building to another. However, it is all how one views the distance. 2500 ft (or close to 1/2 mile) from front door to front door really isn't any longer than the walk from BoardWalk to Epcot. Some consider that long, many of us think nothing of it.

I'm one of those that think nothing of it.....

1/2 mile works out to be about 5 min or so...maybe 10 minutes if you're strolling.
