do you guys think a 100 pt. contract at akv with all points will pass rofr at 55.00 seller pay dues and split closing cost . thanks

When I look at the ROFR thread, this is all I find reported ROFR'd recently:

Donald #1 on the ROFR Thread said:
ROFR'D - OKW - original (2042):
DisFanatic------ 50 OKW (Feb) $52, no '11 pts, all '12 pts (sub 6/25, ROFR 7/14)

ROFR'D - VGC:
Breyean------- 250 VGC (Jun) $74, 62 '11 pts, all '12 pts, buyer pays closing, seller pays mf (sub 6/23, ROFR 7/14)

Only one other contract has been ROFR'd this year -- a BCV contract back in February 2011.

I wouldn't call that a trend that indicates "...DVC is starting ROFR more often now." To me, they ROFR'd one contract in February and two in July out of thousands of resales.

That said, my guess is that $55 is too low, but you'll never know until you try. They have passed AKV contracts in the high $60's, but we won't know what they'd do with a lower price until someone submits such a deal.

the smaller the point total the more valuable points are to disney as they can repackage them. that price is low for 250-300 contract.

I was going by what was stated in this thread:

This is simply incorrect. The size of a contract makes no difference to Disney because they are the developer and can repackage any number of points any way they want.

Smaller contracts tend to sell a little quicker, and often for higher prices, on the resale market because there is more demand for them...but Disney doesn't care.

Right. I just don't think two ROFR's on the same day -- after no ROFR activity for 6 months, and barely any for two years -- constitutes a trend.

If we start getting 2-3 for several consecutive weeks, then I'd say something has changed, but my guess with those two is they were just fulfilling waitlists they had for those points...basically having the points already sold.
