We're booking tomorrow - hypothetically, if you could get the value one-bedroom at AKL or a studio at VWL, which would you take? and why? Besides the "more room" factor, is there a reason you'd pick one resort over the other? There are 5 of us, me, dh, dd4, ds3, dd2 at time of trip; we'd fit in either room just fine. We're planning on 3 days at MK, 2 days at Epcot and one day each at AK and MGM.

We stayed in a one-bedroom at SS last year and it was really nice, lots of room; we really didn't get to explore the resort because it is so large and we didn't have a car.

Thanks for any/all opinions!

I'd go with VWL, for a couple reasons. Mainly, I like the resort better, especially with young kids. More room to run around, boat access to MK, etc. The animal and enrichment activities at AKV will be better appreciated by older kids.

Another thing to consider is Kidani. Presumably, you are going to stay at both resorts eventually. I'd want to stay at VWL now and then at AKV when Kidani opens, rather than stay at AWV now, the VWL later.

Ya know with kiddos that small, I think I would go with the one bedroom at any resort. It is so nice not having to go to bed with the kids and allowing each child the sleep they need. Makes for a happier vacation for all. :goodvibes (..also can't beat having a W/D and full kitchen with little ones!)

Also AKL is a great resort with a zero entry pool and the cool animals to watch.

Lots of Wow at both resorts.
