AKV Noisy Neighbors - Would you complain to the front desk?

We are staying at AKV Jambo and have got the noisiest neighbors I have ever had at any hotel, let alone a DVC one. Not to mention they left a heaping bag of trash outside their room today. They have to be on a cash ressie or renters because I would have to think any self respecting DVC member would know better.

We are actually moving to a different room category tomorrow anyway, but for future reference, would you complain? We are going on night #3

If they are so noisy you can't sleep, you need to complain. They might not have left the trash outside their door. The housekeepers sometimes do that and another housekeeper picks it up.

And it's not really fair to say they wouldn't be members, because some members can be pigs as well as non-members. And some non-members can be as just a respectful as some members. Some members have the concept that they paid a whole bunch of money and someone just needs to pick up after them all the time.
 
We had to complain to the front desk about some neighbors at Kidani Village on our first stay there. They were outside on their balcony with a radio turned up as loud as it would go - they were disturbing the whole building and the animals in the savannah.

One call to the front desk, they got a knock on their door, and the problem was solved.
 
For sure I would complain, you pay for your DVC points and dues and you deserve to have a nice experience when vacationing. I have complained in the past and the staff goes out of their way to fix the problem and if they can't which happened to me in the past they will refund u points.
 

You have every right to notify the front desk. You do not want your vacation to be remembered as; "Remember that trip to Disney, where we couldn't sleep because of the noisy neighbors?"

It doesn't matter where I'm staying -- if my neighbours are loud enough to disturb me in my room, I complain to the front desk. They can send somebody down and if they can hear them from the hallway, it's their call.

They may not be paying cash -- you just can't generalize about people that way. But maybe they are, which means they're really really rich and they're used to having everything their way with the maids to clean up after them...just saying.
 
Sorry thai I over generalized. We were in a value room, so now that I think of it, they likely were members. Regardless, I am just happy we have moved into our new room. We switched to a standard studio today. Lucked into 5528 which only has a neighbor on one side and a partial savannah view :)
