Does anybody know what activities they have for the kids at Kidani Village. I think they have cookie decorating at Boma'a, but did not know what they have over at Kidani. We will be staying here for the first time in October. Thanks:):)

I have a schedule for June. I don't know how much it varies from month to month, but this is what was offered.
Camp Kadani
African by design (the story behind the design of the resort)
Arts and crafts time (make a vacation memory)
African Artifacts
Pool Party
So you think you know Disney Trivia game (pool side)
Bingo (pool side)
What's in your beach bag (pool side)
Pin trading
Cultural tour of Sanaa
Board Game night
Wii tournaments
Story Time
Hope this helps.

We stayed at Kidani (in June) but our kids did the activities at both resorts (cookie decorating and face painting at Jambo House). They loved the community room at Kidani. It was a nice afternoon break from the heat!

We did all the pool party stuff plus an evening African dance (kids loved that) and information session on life in Botswana. It was fantastic!

First week of July had the same activities.

By any chance, does AKV have Movies at night near the pool or elsewhere nearby?

They didn't have movie night when we were there 2 weeks ago. They did move some of the pool side activities to Community Hall some days when the pool was closed due to the weather. The lifeguards facilitated those.

There are simple crafts at Community Hall for a small price. My DS's favorite activity was button making. He really enjoyed the creativity of this & decided to make buttons for gifts to take home to people.

Debbie was the CM working at Community Hall in the late afternoon & evening when we were there in June. She is amazing w/ all ages of people. She has put her heart & soul into that Community Hall. My DS wanted to go there when she was there, b/c he thought she was so cool. It is the 1st Community Hall where I really felt like I wanted to spend some time & hang out. DSs (12 & 9) want to make a WDW trip & NOT :scared1: go to the parks. :confused They want to just pool hop & hang out at AKV--Kidani. DVC has reached a new level when my kids will choose the resorts solely over the parks.

If you're going soon, please tell Debbie you heard she's wonderful from the boy scout button maker.

DVC Mary-We are going in 28 days and will be at AKV. I'll make sure to let Debbie know that the Boy Scout Badge maker says hello if she is there.

i'll be there around 30 days, and will also do the same. I'm not sure how Disney is doing with promotions for employees these days, but i hear word of mouth to their supervisors goes much farther than a tip. Perhaps you can send a note to disney mentioning her qualities in good "customer service".
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the information. Guess i'll go to BCV for the movies there.
