As far a view goes, I would prefer the Jambo standard views...which looks at the pool, or a few standard views are reclassified partial savanna views.
Most of Kidani standard views face the parking/bus dropoff and some are pool view and may have partial savanna.
As far as the room goes, I much, much, much prefer Kidani in a 1 or 2 bedroom. The Jambo bathroom is not connected to the master bedroom, and the Jambo has you step into the jacuzzi tub to take a shower.
But for a studio, Jambo doesn't have any big problems, and I would take the Jambo restaurant proximity.
I would also take a Jambo GV, with the pool table (and it has a proper master bathroom, wih its own flat screen)![]()
If staying in a studio we prefer Jambo because counter service food is there. If staying 1- or 2-bedroom we prefer Kidani because it has an extra bathroom. 2 full bathrooms in a 1-bedroom and 3 full bathrooms in a 2-bedroom where Jambo has just 1 bathroom in a 1-bedroom and 2 in the 2-bedroom.
I concur with everyone's opinion here in that Jambo is best for a studio, i.e. potential views, lobby, counter service, pool location.
BUT, I do think the studios are a little nicer at Kidani. Personally, I love the larger size of the bathroom [even though not everyone likes the layout] and appreciate a guaranteed closet [not always the case at Jambo - sometimes armoire only].
Other than those two things, Jambo is the standout for studios.![]()
We travel with 6-8 and stay in 2br's so for us the 3rd bathroom is invaluable! Above and beyond that, I prefer the villa layout, the lighter decor and the covered parking at Kidani. We aren't fans of Mara so that's not a consideration and at this point we've grown fonder of Sanaa than Jiko so for us Kidani makes sense!
The one thing that Jambo has that simply can't be beat, that majestic lobby, the immense size of it with the decor is fabulous!
Jambo house
Its where the action is with all of the restaurants. Plus, you have a better chance of a reclassified standard view that actually looks out over the savanna
We are staying in a studio and traveling with our 8 year old daughter. Keep the comments coming.
