Is staying AKV's Jambo House Club Level worth the extra points ?
Any thoughts or pics ?
What are the offerings ?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Well, there are only five two bedroom lockoffs, so they go quickly at 11 months out. The three with savanna view, don't have a great savanna view, kind of blocked somewhat with the roof overhang. The other two are pool view. You can't make requests. Some are handicap accessible.

But you get daily full cleaning. You get turn down service if you want it. You have access to the lounge once you check in even if your villa isn't ready yet. You can book the Sunrise Safari (it's only open to AKL/AKV Concierge/Club level guests).

So the real reason to book these villas is to get the lounge access and club access perks.

I don't even think the lounge is all that great a reason to book CL. The best perk of booking Club Level is the ability to do the Sunrise Safari which is only available to CL guests. We have booked CL 3 times. Once we got a studio back in the corner of the savanna side, and our view was non-existant. We preferred the pool view we had in the 1 bedroom. I seriously doubt we'll ever book CL again unless we are thinking we want to do the Sunrise safari again. Frankly, I think a 1 or 2 bedroom at Kidani savanna view on the second floor with a sunset savanna view is the best AKL has to offer.:thumbsup2

:surfweb:I certainly hope so, we booked a studio cl room for July 10 - 18. We are light eaters in the morning so I from what i read the lounge, with cerals and fruit and such should be great for us. We also booked the sunrise safari we we are all looking forward to. :cool1:

Whether or not CL is "worth the extra points" is a personal opinion. You'll get both sides, but only you know what it's worth.

For me, I've contemplated booking CL over Kidani SV many times but have never tried it. A mental list from reading many reviews here:

Service: is phenomenal :goodvibes

Food: Pro: good. Con: quickly snatched up by hoverers and there are fewer offerings than ever before.

The sunrise safari: pro: is wonderful con: is expensive and if you're not an early bird it might not be for you.

Views:
Pro: not the worst Con: there are many better views to be found around the resort.

In that Room View is top priority with me I have not booked CL, but have been sticking to our Kidani SV rooms. Since we're not morning people the safari is out of the question. The only remaining reasons to book CL would be the daily housekeeping, turn-down service and food - but I make our beds when we get up, keep the bathrooms straightened up and stock our own cereal and bagels. I also think a run down to the food place for a $4 box of zebra domes or other food item is a lot more pleasant than hovering and waiting for them to come out which I wouldn't do.

I still might try it for the arrival night sometime before I've had a chance to stock our unit & just for the experience.

We had reservations to stay AKV - and saw that a few of the nites a
Jambo House - Club Level was available. Today we did take the
CL. We are looking forward to the stay. A few years ago before we purchased DVC we stayed at the Sugar Loaf at GF and loved the experience.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
