Could someone please provide me with the layouts of the grand villas at both Jambo and Kidani? I would like to compare the two for an upcoming vacation. Also, does anyone know the square foot difference?

Sizes:
# 2,349 sq. ft. in Jambo House
# 2,201 sq. ft. in Kidani Village

The Jambo House GV layout is on the member website. I suspect that the Kidani Village GV layout will be similar to an SSR GV.

The Kidani two level GV has a sitting area upstairs that has a sleep sofa. There is not an area like that in SSR.

I've stayed in Jambo"s GV and loved it. It was great having the pool table and one level was nice too.

Donna thought I heard or read that some GV's at AKV will have fireplace ?

Anyone know for sure ?

My understanding is that the Jambo GV are on 1 floor and offer a pool table, while the Kidani GV are 2 story without the pool table. There are differences too in the whirlpool tub and shower. I'm sure others will chime in with additional data.

I wish I could tell you I saw a floorplan but I think it was only a description that mentioned the sitting area on the second floor.

I haven't heard anything about a fireplace, but then again the original layout of Jambo showed two card tables in the room that now has a pool table. A fireplace would be great.

I'm thinking now that I did see a layout because the master bathroom in Jambo looked larger than Kidani's. Jambo's has a tub that protruded into the room.

I received a promotional brochure selling the AKV last year and there's a plan showing the twofloor villas.

The first floor has the master and the bath is definitely smaller and I don't see the tv in there either. The dining area has a round table compared to the long table and bench with chairs at Jambo. Living room looks the same. What's real different is the sitting area upstairs between the two bedrooms which looks over the living room like SSR. This area has the sofabed, coffee table, TV, some other table or desk against the railing and a ceiling fan.

After staying in Jambo's GV, I would want to stay there again over Kidani. Jambo felt very spacious. Kidani doesn't look as big. I've stayed in SSR with a large group and there really isn't enough room to watch tv. Jambo had enough space. OKW also feels very spacious.

I just tried to post a link, but I couldn't get it to work, and don't post a lot, so I have no idea how to post a photo. But try this site m o u s e o w n e r s dot com. Take out the spaces and make sure you add the www! Go to the Resort review tab. Click Animal Kingdom Villas. The first jpeg is the Grand Villas at Kidani. We recently had to decide between Jambo and Kidani GV's and at the time this was the only floorplan I could find. I think you can still find the floorplan for Jambo GV's on the member website.

Sorry mods if I bent a rule. I was just trying to help out.:flower3:
