AKV Deluxe Studio v. Value

How do you visually tell the difference bw the two? I have the deluxe studio booked with savannah view at Jambo and just want to make sure I don't get the value by accident! Thanks!

I believe the deluxe studios are only at Kidani!

If it seems real small it is a value. The regular savanna view studios are about 360 sq ft, the values about 315 (they are values because they are small.

Also, as to comment above, Disney has gone to calling all the DVC studios "Deluxe" so that name really does not tell you anything. If you have reserved "savanna view" at Jambo as a booking category you will get the regular size studio with savanna view.

I might have been mistaken. Reading DVC.com it does look like Jambo has both value and deluxe while Kidani just has deluxe. Sorry!

That means you have a "savanna view" category studio at Jambo which is the 360 sq ft room. It will not be a value and it could be located in any part of the resort except where the small number of values are or where the pool is (values are right at the front of the building and "standard" views overlook the pool; the rest of the resort, about 80%, has a savanna view). They do not make the mistake of putting anyone with the "savanna view" booking category in a value room or a standard view room.

While I absolutely don't believe this will happen to you, the easiest way to know is that in the value studio the queen bed is right by the balcony, as opposed to the pull out couch being right by the balcony.

And here is another difference-

one area where the difference in size is taken from. Also, there is one value studio which does not have a freezer compartment in the refrigerator-

Engineering tried to replace with one with a freezer compartment but there'd been something wrong with the way they'd rebuilt things and this is all that would fit.
My understanding is that all DVC studios have the designation "deluxe" except value studios. Maybe that's so that those of us who like value studios feel less special. That's OK, I'll just suffer and enjoy!

I have a "deluxe studio standard view" at Jambo.

At Jambo, the value studio reservation doesn't say "deluxe." It says "studio value Jambo." I have two of those reservations, and one of the standard view coming up this year.

I had this same studio over Mother's Day in the Zebra trail section. It was wonderful but a looooooooooooooooong walk from the elevator.
