AKV Concierge - what views are available?

Regarding AKV Concierge - what views are availablefor studio and one bedroom units? Are you allowed to request or reserve a view?

AKV Concierge level will have either a pool view or a savanna view. You can request a view but it's not guaranteed.

Just so you know, the view from the Concierge rooms is not the best. The pool view rooms are over the restaurants so if you look down you will see the restaurant roofs which extend out into your view quite a bit. The savanna view rooms face a little alcove of the Sunset Savanna so the view area is limited. In addition you are above the tree tops and they obscure part of the view.

We really enjoyed our concierge stay but I would advise keeping your expectations about your view pretty low so that you are not disappointed!

Thank you, I was unaware that the view was minimum. I would have thought the Concierge rooms would have the best views. Oh well, I guess the other perks make up for the views. One of the activities we like best at AKL is sitting on our own balcony early in the morning sipping coffee and watching the animals. Perhaps I should think a bit more regarding staying in an Concierge room.

You might want to read through some of the concierge-related threads. People have posted photos of their view and it will give you a better idea of what you might see from the balcony. It's not that the view is terrible but it isn't as good as what you will see from one of the better Savanna View rooms. Concierge consists of five 2BR lockoffs on the 6th floor. The rooms run along the long sides of the AKL lobby so they face either the pool area or the Sunset Savanna's overlook area. Most people think the Arusha Savanna is the prettiest view but that is not an option if you want an AKV Concierge room.

The very limited number of rooms make it very difficult to book AKV Concierge so be sure to call at your earliest opportunity if you decide to give it a try.
