AKV Concierge Rooms

Member Services told me that concierge rooms will not be available until May 8, 2008. Can anyone confirm this?

Given that the concierge rooms will only be in the existing Lodge building, not the new construction I don't know why they wouldn't be available sooner. My guess is that section isn't scheduled for remodeling completion until then. Just a guess on my part.

That sounds right to me. My DVC guide told me basically the same thing.

Since it is such a specific date, I would guess that it has to do with the arrangement for the operation of the concierge lounge. Perhaps that is the date that DVC takes over control from AK.

The Concierge villas will consist of five 2BR villas on the sixth floor of Jambo House. This map (from the public DVC website) shows the construction phases: http://advc.disney.go.com/media/dvc/languagespecific/eng/resorts/animalKingdomVillas/DAKVMap.pdf The five Concierge villas are located within the area outlined in red and according to the map, they are scheduled to open in May 2008.

Yep, but that was according to the CM, Kat. I so hope her info was correct (in the past, many of us have learned "tain't always so" ). Forgot to also mention that the thermostats in Kidani are supposed to be like those in SSR (so keep those "override directions" handy! )
