We are staying 4 nights at AKV Jambo House in July. Two nights in a 1 BDR Club Level and two nights in 1 BDR Savannah View. (wait listed for club level July 4 & 5, but not expe expecting good fortune). I know moving rooms is a drag but we really want to try conierge!

Will we have a savannah view while in concierge?
If so, what Savannah will we see?
Will the rooms be the same when I move?
Is beer and wine available all day?

Concierge is 5 two bedroom lockoffs. 3 are savannah view and 2 are pool view. Savannah view is the Sunset Savannah facing Kidani. The time I stayed there we got a savannah view but it was handicapped, so it was different than other 1 bedrooms.

DVC Concierge at AKV is more fluff than substance IMO.

You can't request the view, you get what you get. The views are obstructed by the roof eve which extends into your view. The savanna at that location is a dead end and doesn't get many animals.

Beer and wine is available in the evening and when it's gone it's gone. We witnessed people taking several beers back to their room and per Disney policy, the CM's don't say a word to them.

The snacks are interesting. Sometimes, especially in the morning, there would be people waiting for the food to be set out. I hate the feeling of having to fight for food. :goodvibes

Remember that the food and lounge are shared by the DVC and all of the other AKL Concierge Guests.

I was there for christmas, and yes..you get beer and cordials, but, if started at 5 and you need to get there asap, people load up and wipe them out!! I just sat and drank one night to get some! lol

Hmmmm....none of this is our style....think I will try to get the 2 BDR instead.

Just to clarify, beer & wine are available with appetizers, which I think runs from 5-7PM, then there are cordials and dessert from 8-10PM.

The breakfast offerings are fairly generous, but really more "continental." There is usually a hot quinoa cereal (similar to oatmeal) but that is probably the only hot item. Then your usual pastries, fruit, juices, cold cereal, breads, bagels, etc. The afternoon offering are the least substantial, if I recall, kettle chips, yogurt pretzels & gummy bears (and beverages.)

We love staying CL and find you get your "points worth" more when you are spending a significant amount of time at the resort. If you want to do the either of the safaris, that is another benefit. It's definitely not worth it for the view. I honestly prefer the Kidani villas (huge master bath and extra front foyer bathroom.) But we really enjoy relaxing in the lounge and I've met such wonderful CM's.
