According to an email I just received. AKV will go to $135/pp and BLT to $165/pp on July 15, 2012.
does that mean the resale cost will go up also
You beat me to it, I just got the same email. $165 per point for BLT, that is CRAZY. They really must be trying to prime buyers for GFV.![]()

I said $175 for GFV awhile ago, and I'm sticking to that number. I would need 400 BLT points for our travel needs (2BR once a year for 7-8 days). At the new price of $165, that's $66,000. Then add in MF's, which will probably cost me an average of $2300 (approx) over the next 10 years. That's approx $90,000 for my next ten years of vacation, with a good portion being paid up front.
That's basically $1300 per night.
It would probably be year 15 before I'm passing the break even point.
Somebody tell me where/who/why/how this makes sense....? Why would people pay these prices?
What are the new incentives these days? What's the real cost for a point?
The 20 "free" points promotion for AKV and Aulani runs out on the 15th and I haven't heard DVD announce anything beyond that.
DVC warns that they will take away the incentives and they see a spike in sales. They wait awhile then warn that they going to raise prices and they see a spike in sales. They raise prices and wait awhile. Then they offer a limited time price incentive and they see a spike in sales. Then the do it all over again.
