Generally: Jambo is the existing Animal Kingdom Lodge. The 5th and 6th floors (top ones) have been converted to DVC. Kidani is the new all DVC bldg being constructed. Jambo has value, standard, and savanna view rooms. It also has five 2BR lock-off concierge rooms with concierge service which have pool or sunset savanna view; also some 3BR Grand Villas which are all savanna view. Value is lower point cost and smaller size rooms in the front part of the Jambo building which can face parking lot, sunset savanna or the pool. Standard and Savanna point cost rooms are the same size and significantly larger than value and more in line with the size of rooms at many other WDW DVC resorts such as SSR, BWV, BCV and VWL; the rooms at Kidani will even be larger (and 1BRs will have 2 bathrooms rather than the one that Jambo 1BRs have); the concierge rooms at Jambo are the size of the standards and savanna point cost rooms. Standard at Jambo face the pool; standard at Kidani will face the road or pool. When all is said and done, 80% of all rooms will be savanna point cost rooms. Kidani will not have any value or concierge. Jambo is done, Kidani is in progress and opening in 2009; whether it will open by Feb 2009 is unknown.
Where can I find a description of the AKV which compares Value, Standard, and SV? I would like to compare Studio's, 1 BDR and 2BDR. Also, where can I find the comparison between Jambo and the new(name?)??
