AKV 5+baby?

I'm reading that some of the Animal Kingdom 1-bed villas sleep 5, would that mean you could have 5 and a baby stay there?

Yes, it would be 5 plus an infant age 2 or younger, in a pack & play.

Yes all but the value category. 5 + 1 under 3 years old. BLT also. And I believe OKW after the referb is complete.

Forget the value room. The extra points for the standard rooms are worth it, especially with a full villa. The extra bathroom alone is worth it.

In theory, yes...but when my girls were babies they needed their own rooms or it wasn't vacation to me, lol!

I thought the only difference between the value 1 bed villa and the other 1 bed was the view?
I'm trying to stick to a $4000 budget for this vacation, which makes the 1 bed villa with a value view do-able if I rent points. Just trying to see what my options will be. The guy who rents me his DVC points is supposed to call for me tomorrow.

The value villas are about three feet shorter in depth than the standard or savanna villas. There is no room for the sleeper chair, so they only sleep four plus one under the age of three. They are only located in Jambo House and can be pool view, savanna view or parking lot view. No choice at views. You get what you get. You have one too many in your family for a value one bedroom.

In post number three someone said that OKW will have 1-bed villas that sleep 5+a baby when they are done being refurbished, and I was just wondering when they were supposed to be done?

Large portion of OKW refurbishment is already done and thus there are now 1BRs with the sleeper chair. Don't know expected completion date of all.

Adding a correction that I just learned: OKW refurb is now done and thus all 1BRs have the sleeper chair and can take 5 plus an infant

We stayed at AKV last June in a one-bedroom. We did have 5 adults and a baby (5-months) with us. Dh and I in the bedrooms, Daughter on sleeper chair, Son and DL on couch, baby in pack in play. DH and I had plenty of room. No one else complained of space. Youngest Daughter could have stayed with different family member as we had 3 other studios but choose to stay with us.

If everyone is close family it works out well.

You will have a great time! OKW have some of the biggest rooms of DVC so with your family, the extra room will be great!
