Akl ?????

We have reservations for the AKL september 18-25. We have the pool view booked. We have never stayed here before so can someone please tell me what floor/area is best and why also what floor/area would you avoid with the pool view. As of right now we have asked for a king bed on the 3rd floor non-smoking.

We have stayed on Zebra trail with pool view twice. There are a number of rooms with bunk beds if you need them, queen beds if you don't. We stayed once on 2nd floor and once on 4th floor. Both rooms had nice views and were located on the same hall as the elevators about 8-10 rooms away. This was convenient since this is the only elevators from the Zebra Trail that go to the pool area and also they are the closest to Mara's (counter/quick service restaurant @ AKL). The vegetation is maturing at AKL so you might prefer to be on 4th because some of the trees might block your view.

I don't think there is a bad Trail to be on if you have pool view. I think there is only two trails that have them. If you are at the ends of those two trails, you might be able to see into the Savannah that is at the end of the pool area. Not really sure. It seems that there are some rooms on the 4th floor that are above Mara's and the game room that have views that are partially blocked by the roofs of those two spaces. I don't have my AKL map handy or I could tell you which rooms to avoid. Sorry, it is packed away from our June trip.
