My family friends and I are all going to Disney together in March. We have 2 rooms booked. 1 is a Jambo studio savanna room using DVC points and then our friends have a cash savanna bunk bed room.

Is it possible the rooms will be near each other? I've never stayed at AKL and I know the kids would like to be near each other if possible!

The best you can hope for is that you will be in the same "wing" of the resort, but you will not be on the same floor. The DVC rooms are on the 5th floor and with the exception of a very few standard hotel rooms, they are the only rooms on the 5th floor. Your friends will be in a room on the second, third or fourth floor.

Do you know if theres a request we can both put in to try to be placed in the same area? I'm just looking at the map and I never realized how huge this place is

You could both ask to be near the elevator that has access to Mara, off of the zebra trail.

If you both add "traveling with reservation # XXX" to your reservations it might help the room assigner get you closer to each other.

We are staying in Kindani in March and coming in on different days. I just got off the phone with Disney and they linked our reservations using a "travel with" I also requested we be near a particular elevator in hopes we would be close even if on different floors. Good luck

I did the same at OKW for the marathon (our friends arrived the day before us) and we were in the same building. So it was convenient for the runners in each group to meet up to head to the start. And for the spectators to meet up a few hours later to head to Epcot together.
