If you stay In standard room are there still places where you can view the savanna?

Yep, there are a couple of public places to view the savannah and trails to look at the animals too.

We got a pool view room our 1st trip, worked out great. AKL has an awesome pool and it's beautiful at night. if you can swing a pool view vs standard view it's usually not that much more and totally worth it.

Got a standard room 2 weeks back got a savannah view..i was pumped..we loved it..and pool was awesome watching a movie at night, storytelling by the firepit was great..so much to do there..night vision goggles.. can stay here and not go to the parks if i wanted to. Enjoy!
