AKL villa 1 bedroom Value

hello all! I have stayed at AKL before, I had a Savannah view and honestly I was disappointed, maybe because I was in a studio in Kidani. I loved the resort and I am thinking about returning, the 1 bedroom value is what I maybe interested in. Whats the difference in the value and standard view? We will have 2 adults and 2 kids, going in late August

The value actually has a good chance at being a savanna view compared to standard. I don't know the exact mix but maybe around half of the value rooms are savanna view. It's a 'value' because the room is slightly smaller than standard, it's not a view category.

Be forewarned, the value villas, particularly the studios, are extremely difficult to reserve, I own at AKV and was considering getting a value 2 br. for next Nov/Dec at exactly 11 months out a couple of days ago and the value villas were already booked. Early August for a 1 br. might be more doable, tho’.
The values are on the 2 front halls of Jambo - Ostrich and Giraffe trails on the 5th floor and can be pool, parking lot or partial savanna view, it’s luck of the draw which you get. As noted they are smaller than the standard & savanna view villas on Kudu & Zebra trails & the lobby and the value 1 br.s do not have the sleeper chair thus they sleep a max of 4 people w/ 2 in the king size bed in the master bedroom and 2 in the sleeper sofa in the living room.

August is still more than 7 months away, so there’s a better chance now than once the 7 month window opens and 1 br.s are easier to get than studios. We can’t report current availability as that can change in a moment, that said, end of August doesn’t look good for any AKV value villa availability at the moment. If you are flexible w/ dates you have a better chance.
The 1 br.s are so much nicer that the studios, IMO. We usually get a 1 br. for just 2 or 3 people, the 2 TVs, the ability to spread out and of course the in villa washer/dryer are so nice.

As PP noted Looking at current availability The AKL 1-bedroom values are not available from August 15th onward. And we always get a 1bedroom as well, find them perfect for us even though we are a family of 3!
