AKL trip

just back from AKL and had a great trip.

we received an email for $151 savannah view so i feel like we got a good deal.

when we checked in, he had us on the sunset savannah. i said nope, arusha savannah zebra trail!

thanks to these boards, i knew what to ask for. we were in room 4501; nice view; our friends were in 4519; also good. we saw giraffes and zebras and antelopes and . . . .lots! good, good, good. i was pleased.

we spent one afternoon at the pool; slide was up and the kids loved it. pool bar nice also!

lobby was awesome and bus rides were not a problem. glad we did this!

SO glad you had a wonderful trip! That is a great rate! I agree with you about the savannahs. I like to "check out" the sunset savannah but I'd rather stay on one of the other two, with Uzima being my personal favorite. Thank you for sharing your report!

I also got that email rate for Nov. 14-20. I was hoping for an upgrade to deluxe or CL--Did you ask for an upgrade and they said no?? Just curious to see if that is a feasible thing to happen...

No, I didn't ask for an upgrade. The email was for savannah standard. I really don't know about the deluxe rooms.

I had requested bunk beds, but in order to get bunk beds, I would have been on a different savannah. I wanted to make sure we had a good view, so I skipped the bunks and kept the arusha, zebra trail. Those were my only requests.
