AKL - Taxidermy?! And other questions.

Hi all,

Hoping to do a WDW trip to AKL in 2009 or 2010 with my 12 year old niece - she is an avid animal lover, but she is absolutely petrified of mounted animals on the walls etc. I am hoping there is none of this at AKL (I think there was at WLV?). Does anyone know this?

Also, in order to get a 2BR savannah room in late 2009 or in 2010, will I be able to book at 7 mos out (am a BWV home resort member) or should I book with an AKL owner? And what is the difference between the two savannah view buildings?

Fear not -- there is no taxidermy at AKV.

LOL - I've never seen anything as disgusting as dead animals nailed to the walls at AKV or any other Disney resort (thank goodness)!

The 2br should be no problem at 7 months unless you're trying to book Christmas week perhaps.

Thanks - that's a relief. My sister seems to think there was at WVL but that was several years ago, and I can't imagine she's remembering correctly

And I'm surprised that 2 BR Savannah views will be available at 7mos - really? If so, that would be much easier for me to book. What about at the new Kidani Bldg that is under construction?

Trust us - NO dead animals at either resort. Carved? Yes. Live? Yes. Cast bronze? yes. Well. . . that's not quite true - they do serve meat in the restaurants
