OKay, this vacation is driving me crazy. We were scheduled for 2 nights at Nick hotel, 11 nights at GF and 4 nights at YC. I realized my kids may be too young for Stormalong Bay so I reluctantly cancelled and went nuts picking a new resort. We finally decided to try AKL and booked a deluxe Savannah view room (we're 2 adults, 3 kids). Now my question is - if AP rates are decent I was thinking of upgrading to concierge. My kids are 4 (turning 5 on trip), 6 and 7 1/2. Would they be too young to appreciate it. That's probably my main reason for upgrading to CL as I don't have any problem making my own PS - I actually enjoy it. Please be honest because I don't want to spend $250 if they are just going to be board.

ALso, I'm a AKL newbiew. I requested (I know just a request) Arushka (sp?) savannah. Is there anything else I should request. The CM told me they only had queen/bunk bed deluxe rooms left (which is just what I wanted anyway). Any tips on requests or kids activities please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I think they'll love it!

FEED THEM BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AKL!!! You don't eat breakfast until after 9:00am. :O

There's no bathroom stop along the way, so take care of that too!

Whlie I don't believe that toddlers belong on the Sunrise Safari, I think that by age four they are old enough to sit still and be quiet and enjoy the animals. :)

Thank you Anne. You are truly a wealth of knowledge on the resorts! Since ds will be turning 5 on the trip, and is usually well behaved, I was leaning in that direction. I'm going to call back and upgrade to CL even before the APs rates come out (hopefully) so that I'll be able to book the Sunrise Safari 90 days out. THanks again!

We stayed AKL Concierge and went on the Sunrise Safari with our 3.5 and 9 yo DD's. We loved both aspects of the trip. The Concierge lounge is great for kids. They love to eat little bits though out the day and having that available for them was wonderful. And although I like planning too, the IPO was helpful when Disney changed their EMH days and conflicted with my scheduled CRT PS. The Concierge IPO was able to change that PS to a better day which I wouldn't have been able to do.

The Sunrise Safari was great for the girls. My older one got more out of it then the 3.5 yo but she enjoyed the ride. There are a wide variety of activity levels for preschoolers. You know your kids. I think most could handle it, there is enough to keep their attention. The Safari is 40 minutes and the guide is talking over a mike so you don't have to be perfectly quiet, just respectful. The other part is a buffet breakfast. No problem here! Kids are great when they are eating! ;)

PS. I think you made a wise move with respect to SAB. Great pool but with that many kids of that age group it would be very difficult.
