AKL sunrise safari:is there a minimum stay and what days are the safari?

I know there's probably a thread somewhere with this info,just don't have time to search. Could anyone help me out with this?

I just did the safari.

As far as I know, there is no minimum stay yet, however, the cm at the kilimanjaro club did say they will be changing that policy.

The safaris are on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, and are worth every cent!!!!

The Sunrise Safari is for concierge guests. it is a private view of the ride. It also includes breakfast at Tusker House.

Will be attending a reunion this July.

So, you stayed at the AKL concierge and loved it? This hotel has intrigued me since I first read about it. We're booked for this October prior to a cruise on the Magic (30th anniversary-thought we'd do a little pampering Mouse style )

Was the stay worth it? Anything you wouldn't miss or maybe wish they could do better?

Loretta,
I'm a new Jacksonite. We just moved here from New York and love it. My teenagers go to JMHS. Great to meet another Jacksonite.

The stay was absolutely worth it. I wouldn't do it any other way. Everything about that resort is fabulous.

Have a wonderful trip.

ooooh! I love these positive AKL posts! And also ones about the sunrise safari since we'll be doing it this coming trip. A word of advice, the sunrise safari fills up so reserve your seats asap! I was real slow at getting plans for this trip and we were actually on the wait list. Fortunately, enough guests signed up so they added another vehicle and we are on! yahoo!

This resort has also intirgued me and our family is anxiously awaiting our trip!

Lizzie64- we moved to Jackson in '66 from NY. I got married in '73 and haven't lived there since. But most of my family is in NJ, only one sister in Jackson, the rest in Toms River, Bricktown, Pine Beach, Manchester. Get back often to visit, miss the shore, miss the food...don't miss the crowds or the taxes

Very excited about the upcoming trip, read more of your good comments about AKL. Our kids ( DD24 and DS21) will be joining us for the cruise portion of the trip, possibly with friends. WDW will be our alone time.

Nicurnc - Yes, I will post a trip report when we return! We usually stay at the YC but we are now working our way around the resorts. (we stayed at the Polynesian last May and loved it!) We booked 4 nights at the BWI so we can be closest to our favorite park - EPCOT. (I have a DS8 & DD4)

Ah yes, Boat Drinks! Jimmy has said he wrote that while stuck in Boston during a blizzard. I think I may be able to finally change my line, but it was touch & go here this winter since we were still having snow in April!
