AKL - Std v. Deluxe Savannah views

What is the difference between a deluxe savannah view and a standard? Is it the size of the room? or is it the location of the room? On my last stay at AKL I booked a standard savannah room. It was a great room, right near an elevator and not far off the lobby. When I went to request the same general area for my upcoming trip I was told that the room I was in last time was a deluxe. There was no daybed in my room so I didn't think it was deluxe.

Did I get an upgrade and not even realize it?

What floor were you on last time? I am pretty sure the upper floors are the deluxe rooms and the lower, standard. The deluxe are bigger than the standard but I don't know by how much.

We had a deluxe room on our last trip and it did not have a daybed, so that is no indication. We were on the 5th floor.

I was on the lobby-level. Had a great view of the main savannah. I loved my view, room etc. Really hoping for something similar on my November trip, but I only paid for standard savannah and since it was part of the 7 nights for 5 package I can't upgrade now. Oh well, I love AKL so whatever I get will be fine.

Were you on the 5th floor? If so, they upgraded you to a deluxe savanna? Deluxe rooms are the fifth and sixth floors and are something like 44 sq. ft. larger. I have stayed in both. In concierge we were on the 5th floor, 3 adults and one child. We had a deluxe room but there was no day bed - so not all deluxes have day beds.
In April we had a standard, savanna view room and it looked exactly the same but upon further inspection , it did not have the smaller chest of drawers outside of the bathroom area, nor did it have the extra chair in the corner by the sliding glass doors.
Both were gorgeous, however, and both had 2 queens and no day bed.
