AKL standard room partial savanna view

At Animal Kingdom Lodge, which standard room with a partial savanna view did you have?
Was is great, not so great and why?
Pictures would be great!
Debating if I should request a room or just wing it.

We had a DVC 1 bedroom listed as standard for our two night stay at AK. We had a very good view of the Savanna w/ Zebras and giraffes both very close by. The kids LOVED it!

I wouldn't ask for a specific room number, but you could list "Partial Savannah View" as your only request.

We were in room 2347. I had requested Kudu Trail view when I did online check-in, and that was the only request I made. Our ETA was after midnight, but I received the text at 9am that our room was ready. I was so excited when I saw we were in an obstructed savanna view room!
This was the view of the obstruction from our room. It wasn't bad, and it really didn't bother me that it was there (especially since we paid standard rates)

This was the view from our balcony. You can see the fence on the left, but animals were very visible, all the time.

Seriously, absolutely amazing views!

I recommend not requesting a specific room. Like I mentioned, all I requested was Kudu View Trail. I didn't request a specific floor or anything else, and our view was perfect IMO.
