AKL or BWV availability May 2015

Hi all!

I am already hard at work planning for our next trip in mid May 2015! I know if I rented now (with 11 month time window) I would easily get reservations but I am not quite looking to paying $13+ per point. How quickly do studios in AKL and BWV fill up for mid May? If I wait until rentals are priced $10-$11 per point, would I still be able to snag a studio?

Rentals won't drop to that level until the points are distressed so at that points there it would be highly unlikely to get more than a day or 2 at either resort, Rentals have gone up over that last few years because dues have also gone up.

As you are likely aware, owners at those resorts can start booking 11 months out from date of arrival and owners from another DVC resort can do so at 7 months out. You likely have until 7 months out to keep looking as long as you are willing to accept AKV savanna or standard view or BWV pool/garden view which are usually open that time of year at 7 months out. It is not wise to wait beyond 7 months out because once that 7 month window opens things that are still left at resorts can often go fairly quickly.Moreover, if you what you want is AKV value or club level or BWV standard or boardwalk view, you should attempt to reserve at 11 months.
