Well, this is sad news (to those of us who like a parade!):

"Afternoon parade to end at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Leah Zanolla | Posted: Feb 14, 2014 | Updated: Feb 14, 2014 - 3:48:30 PM Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, the daily parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom, will be performed for the last time in June. An exact date was not announced, but Disney spokeswoman said that construction on Avatar Land "will soon impede the parade path and viewing areas for guests." There are currently no plans for a replacement parade. Parade performers will be found other positions at Walt Disney World. Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade has been around since October 2001 and showcases Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy in their safari costumes as they participate in a larger-than-life tribute to their animal friends."

Glad I got to see it again a couple weeks ago.

Quick question. I know not to expect an upgrade but just wondering if anyone who rented points for kidani has ever been upgraded to savanah view from standard?

Upgrades are extremely rare (or almost completely nonexistent) for DVC stays. Enjoy anyway!!

So glad DizDaD landed. I was worried after I woke up with more snow coming down this am. Rumor has it we are in for a warm up so he should get back ok...although if I was stuck someplace I would want it to be the AKL!

We are headed for our first stay at AKL 9/19-9/24. We are thrilled to be checking out this gorgeous hotel! It will be myself, my DH and our dd who will be three at that time. We are booked in a standard view room, what room requests if any should we make?

So very excited! DH convinced me to take a short trip this upcoming May, and we'll be doing a split stay. Two nights in a standard room at AKL! (The 14th and 15th.)

AKL has been my dream resort, and I cannot wait to actually stay there. We've stayed at values over a 4 year period, probably about 5 times total, and I'm looking forward to seeing how nice a deluxe is.

Can't get much better than not only staying at a deluxe for the first time, but your dream one at that!

Please add me to the list...will be staying May 6-8, Club Level. First time at a deluxe & this is a surprise for my DH & daughters! They think we are staying at POFQ for our whole trip, so I can't wait to get back to our room on the 5th & tell them to pack up!

Absolutely. The resort is gorgeous and there are plenty of public viewing areas some of which have rocking chairs.
