I followed this thread on my last AKL trip in 2011, so I'm going to join back in now. We just booked last night!! November 12-19 at Kidani in a Savanna view studio!! So, so excited!!

Thanks for the calendar! Yes, we really enjoyed the drumming. We learned a lot about the CM who did the drumming and it was fun for all my kids.

.....you can go to the Mara and bring your tray outside - it's adjacent to the pool area. There is also a poolside bar where you can purchase drinks...

Is it OK to have kids at the lounge at AKL?

...if you are referring to the Victoria's Falls Lounge, probably "no"...

well, one would think this was a no nbrainer..but Friday night, there were kids rolling around on the couches in VFL while DH and I were trying to find a place to sit

well, one would think this was a no nbrainer..but Friday night, there were kids rolling around on the couches in VFL while DH and I were trying to find a place to sit

....mebbe they had one to many Natahzu's!

A quick question:

Haven't read through the thread but need to know if a one bedroom at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House villas have both a shower and a tub?

Looking to find out if the shower is a walk in rather than having to step into a tub.

....if it's not HA, chances are it's probably all-in-one...not a separate shower and tub.

That's what I was wondering if we would need HA.
We are traveling with my 85 year old mom and we wouldn't want any falls trying to step into the tub!
We stayed at OKW in a one bedroom and the shower was a walk in, completely separate from the jetted tub. But I couldn't quite figure out the layout at AKL Jambo House.

So I think I saw that there are now electronic signs that have bus waits/times posted at AKL? Can anyone confirm this?

Trying to work backwards, we have a 5:40pm ADR at 'Ohana. Husband would like to check out the Contemporary, say for 20-30 mins. What time do we need to catch the bus from AKL?
Bus from AKL to MK
Monorail MK to Contemporary
20-30 mins at Contemporary
Monorail Contemporary to Poly
5:40pm ADR at 'Ohana

On Kidani: In the gift shop doesn't it have a Coke fountain machine in it for the refill mugs? I believe it does, my wife said she doesn't remember one. When does that gift shop normally close?

Also is Mara always open until 11:30 (midnight?) or does it ever close earlier?

I was thinking Mara closed at 11:00. We arrive at about 8:00 and I was checking so we knew if we'd have a place to eat once we get checked in

I've seen kids in all the bars at all the resorts at Disney. I think the only bars that kids cannot officially be in are the ones on the Boardwalk that have age restrictions to enter.
