We have a short 4day/3night trip after our cruise and we are trying to decide where we should stay. We will try to have more resort time this trip and may only go to EPCOT on one day. Our kids are 19, 15, 12. Really need 2 bathrooms so we are looking at AKL-Kidani villa or 2 standard rooms WL. We have eaten at WL before but have never stayed at either of these resorts.

I would do one room at BC/YC...best resort with boardwalk nearby, quick entry to Epcot and awesome pool...bathrooms are roomy...ours are 18,15,14 and location beats two bathrooms anyday for us...but of your two choices, either are great! Equal appeal for both.

You know there is also VWL right? Unless they are not in your budget, but I don't think it's that much more than WL. 2 rooms at any deluxe resort would cost a lot. I think you should look into VWL only because AKL/Kidani is so out of the way. WL/VWL have boats to MK and are closer to the parks.

You would have to book at 2 bed villa at VWL but at AKL kidani you could all fit in a 1 bed villa. The 2 bedroom at VWL and the 1 bed at Kidani both have 2 full bathrooms. I would go with Kidani if you are looking to spend a lot of time at the resort. There is so much to do on site and the two pools are some of the best on property. Go savannah view if you can afford it but don't worry if you can't there are viewing platforms and windows all around the resort.
Remember if you book a villa that you get a full kitchen and a spa bath - Far nicer than the bathrooms in a regular hotel room.
Check out David's vacation rentals for an affordable way to stay in a villa.
Have fun whatever you decide.

We've never stayed at Kidani, but have stayed at both AKL and WL. If you will be spending a lot of time at the resort and want to feel away from it all, I'd go with Kidani. Since AKL/Kidani is kind of out away from everything, it's quieter and more peaceful, IMO. If you want to be close to a lot of dining/shopping options, the WL would be a good fit as it's easily accessible to the CR via boat, where you can hop on the monorail to visit/shop/dine at the Poly and GF. But honestly, you can't go wrong with either resort as they are both great places to stay. Good luck.
