Hi - was hoping that someone who has walked between the two could chime in on how you felt this walk was at night. I'm planning to go to Kidani for a late 'light' dinner at the Sanaa lounge (let's be honest, I want the bread service and Sanaa wine flight… lol). But, I'm wondering about the walk between the two buildings… as I will be traveling solo. Thoughts?

As a point of reference, I have done the walk between POR and POFQ at night, solo, and felt perfectly safe, etc.

Thanks!

I have made that walk by myself at night numerous times when I wanted to be out and about and DH preferred to relax in the room, I have always found it perfectly safe.

You will feel as safe as you would normally feel on Disney resort property, which I am assuming is pretty safe! We did it a few times, and we never felt unsafe for a second. AKL felt, to me, as if it were mostly guests of the resort which made it feel a little safer in general. You don't really get that Grand Central Station vibe that you can get at other resorts. When we stay at the Poly, for example, you get the feeling about 1/2 the people in the lobby and walking around the grounds aren't staying there, they are probably going to eat at O'hana or to check out the resort or to watch the MK fireworks for free. AKL didn't feel like that, especially at Kidani! I felt safer and more relaxed at that resort than any resort we've ever stayed at on property, and the walk between the 2 buildings felt the same way.

And the walk is so short! I read all these reviews of how far away it was, how boring it was, etc etc it was maybe 5 minutes tops. And it wasn't like walking through the Oasis at AK, but it was very pleasant. We liked it so much we opted to walk instead of taking the shuttle on a few occasions. And we always made it there before or at about the same time as the shuttle!

Hope that helps! Enjoy that bread service!!

Agreed 100%

Thanks, guys!! I felt this was the case, but thought I'd ask… as I said, I felt perfectly fine with the POFQ to POR / POR to POFQ walk, so I think I'll be great.

Good thought on the shuttle - but, I'm actually one of those crazy people that LIKES to walk! lol
