Will be doing on line check-in in 2 days. Any one know what the current room requests they're letting us choose currently? I have a 2BD savanna view.

The requests listed don't often do much good for DVC. You would be better off making your room requests with MS when you make your reservation.

Better to make requests through Member Services and skip the online request box when doing online check-in. The Jambo online requests are really designed for hotel guests and are more limited than what you can do through MS. Moreover, a number of them are pointless in relation to DVC, e.g., you can choose either high floor or low floor, but all the DVC rooms are on the 5th floor except for club level on the 6th. An online temptation is to choose near transportation, an allowed request, but savanna view rooms near transportation and the lobby are not rooms with great views like many others. A good request through MS would be Arusha savanna view, along Zebra Trail, away from the lobby. If you get those you will be on the east side of the U-shaped building facing west from your room, thus getting both a good savanna view and avoiding blinding sun coming through the balcony door windows in the morning.
