Hello~

After years of saying, "No," my husband has finally agreed to a split stay beginning with AKL. :thumbsup2 We will then go back to the Poly or the CR Atrium (leaning towards Poly today:idea: ).

Here's my question: After searching through threads and the allearsnet info, I'm having a hard time finding out if it is possible to book a concierge room for five of us.

This trip will be January 2009. Kids will be 5, 7, 10 at that time.

Will this then be a "deluxe" room in the new villas or is concierge not an option at all for five anymore? I have always wanted to experience concierge at AKL, including the Sunrise Safari.

Thanks!

All the deluxe rooms that slept five are gone, as far as I can gather. We stayed in one during the AKL's first year, so I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this fact. We had to book a "standard" concierge/club level room for April.
Apparently, the space was used for some of the new AKL Villas. So, you could book two rooms, book a suite, or book an AK multi-bedroom, club level villa for your family.:sad1:

Thanks-- so there are only suites in the AKL itself or new multi-bedroom villas? The literature for the new villas make it seem as though there is an option with two beds and a daybed (like CR and Poly rooms) but it's not clear.

Anyone know for sure?

There are no deluxe rooms at the AKL anymore. They were all converted to DVC villas.

For DVC Concierge, there is a total of five two bedroom lockoffs (meaning they could be a two bedroom or a one bedroom and a studio). These go very quickly to members, like exactly 11 months out from the reservation. If you don't own points at AKV, you will not get these rooms.

So if you want to do Concierge at AKL (not AKV), you would have to get two rooms.

They do still have a few AKL Suites (not villas), but I don't know if these are concierge level or not.

Many thanks!

That's a bummer for us. It's why we don't stay at the WL anymore, even though we loved it so much. It's cheaper to stay at the Poly or CR (concierge, even)!
