How much noise???
Where was your room - and is the construction bothersome?

When we were at AKV last summer, we were in a value 1 br and we didn't hear anything. We were not close to Kidani. I would imagine that, with the door open, construction could be heard from parts of Jambo. Although I think the sections of Kidani closest to the lodge are finished on the outside.

I had a Sunset Savannah/construction view in the fall (basically across from the Kidani lobby.)
The only construction noise I heard with doors closed was the bulldozer backup warning beep as the bulldozer did it's nearly daily backwards drive around the building..not sure whay it was necessary for a track vehicle that can turn on a dime) I do not hink I ever noticed the noise at any other part of Jambo (like the pool, although there was exterior building painting with lift trucks at the time)

The rest of the noise was only noticable when sitting on the balcony, I was fine with it, though, because 1) I educated myself on the DIS before my trip and knew construction was possible, it did not suprise me to ruin my vacation so
2) I kinda enjoyed the once in a lifetime chance to follow the progress of a Disney construction site from my private balcony!

We were staying concierge in December overlooking the pool and we heard quite a bit of construction noise. Lots of banging and hammering etc! We knew about it but did not spend a lot of time near the pool due to all the activity.

We stayed in a one bedroom pool view on 12/29 and the noise was worse there then in our one bedroom savannah view on 12/30 and 12/31. It was nice to see the construction project and the animals seemed to be unaware that there was any activity beyond the fence. We saw plenty of animals and had a fantastic view of the savannah and construction.
