AKL Concierge room request question

After reading some great reviews about the AKL we are anxiously awaiting our first visit there in December. We have booked a concierge room and from what I understand from some of the posts I have read, the concierge lounge is located on the sixth floor over the lobby. We would really like a Savannah view room that would be close to the lounge and preferably on the same floor. My DH will still be in the recovery process from knee surgery and every little bit of extra walking he can avoid would be a benefit. Can anyone tell me how the Savannah view rooms on the sixth floor near the lounge are? Do they have a good view or would we be better off taking a room farther away from the lounge to secure a better view?

If you request a room close to the lounge and tell them that DH will be recovering from knee surgery, they are likely to accommodate your request.

As for the view of the rooms close to the lounge, it is slightly obstructed. This is the view we wanted but didn't get the request in before with left.

Our room that we stayed in twice (both stays, go figure) was on the fifth floor. It had a wonderful veiw, but I still would have liked being closer to the lounge. A CM gave us a little tour of the rooms closer to the lounge and explaned that they don't use the rooms very often because of the roof obstructs your view. Yes, it was obstructed, but I still would have rather been closer to the lounge. Remember this is just my oppinion.
