Well, I'm so puzzled... I have Poly LV concierge booked for the last 2 nights of our Feb trip, but I feel the AKL concierge calling. I think I want to try it, but I'm afraid of feeling isolated. Also, if they have bunks in concierge, then it might be a done deal. Can anyone try to sway me one way or the other? I've already stayed at Poly concierge and LOVED IT, so I'm partial to that!!! HELP!!!

Lori,

this is funny, I already have AKL Concierge booked for our last 5 nights. I have regular lagoon view rooms booked at the POly for our first 4 nights. With the concierge mystery calling me, I was thinking about going concierge at the poly also. However it is quite a bit more than concierge at AKL.

Since I've never been at the Poly, I love the idea of a lagoon view room and don't want to go to garden view in order to do concierge. I'm so torn.

The AKL concierge is supposed to be fabulous. I've seen incredible pictures.

I would definitely try for it. Oh, I have a request in for one of my rooms to have the bunks. Concierge Planner, said that shouldn't be a problem.

We had bunkbeds in our room, 6202 as I recall. We have stayed at the Poly but never Concierge at the Poly. We loved the AKL Concierge!! We will stay there again but probably split the time with GF (never stayed there and want to try it during the Holidays). It seems alot of complaints have come from what people expected out of the staff and services. As far as I could tell, if you ask they will go out of their way to get what ever you need.

You'll have a great time no matter what your choice.

We just got back from a 3 night stay in AKL Concierge level. We had requested a savannah view room, and got a wonderful room, 5429. We were on the 5th floor, not the 6th, so we had to take the elevator up to the lounge, but the view was WORTH it! We were on the Zebra Trail, facing the Arusha Savannah. Our room did have the bunk beds in it, making my 3 daughters very happy!

The service in the concierge lounge was great - food was delicious, water bottles available for the asking. They were giving out free wooden animal puzzles for the little ones. We had a great stay, and plan on going back someday.

We also did the Sunrise Safari - only available on Tuesdays and Saturdays to concierge guests. It is expensive (about $50 for adults and $25 for kids), but worth it! We had a wonderful tour guide, who showed us the barns and how they care for the animals, and then the safari took about an hour, we stopped for every animal we saw to take pictures. The buffet at the Tusker House after the safari was huge, and delicious!
