Please forgive me for the dumb question - What are the benefits for guests at the AKL on the concierage level? Thinking about staying in a studio in November.

Kilimanjaro Club Concierge accommodations include the following Kilimanjaro Club Level Services:

Advanced Walt Disney World itinerary planning service
Personalized front desk and Concierge service
Daily housekeeping service and evening turndown with chocolates
Secured key access to 6th floor and Club Level lounge
Weekday newspaper delivery of USA Today
Assistance with special events planning and shopping
Club Level Lounge refreshments

Thanks. I'm thinking of renting points to stay here in November with my 2 grown daughters. We liked VWL last year but would like to try something different.

November of this year? That may be VERY hard to do as there are only 5 2-bedroom lock-offs that are DVC concierge and members tend to snap them up at the 11-month point.

Thanks for the info. We are considering AKL, BWV, or returning to the VWL. In your opinion, which would be the best bet for Nov 1-4 for a studio?

AKV is the only DVC resort with a Concierge level. If you are interested in the other booking levels at AKV (Value, Standard View, Savanna View) you might have a chance at Savanna View or maybe even Standard View (which faces the pool in the Lodge building, so it's fewer points since you can't see animals from your room). There aren't many AKV rooms open yet since only the rooms in Jambo House (the Lodge building) are open for your dates. BWV, especially Preferred View (not Boardwalk View) would be a possibility and VWL as well.

No USA Today delivery unfortunately. At least we haven't had it. I tried to buy one in the gift shop but they don't carry it there which did make sense in the past when all rooms received it. The CMs there told me the front desk would have some...nope not yesterday anyway. Those CMs told me that the lounge should have it. But none there.

What kind of refreshments? When are they served? Just trying to decide for future planning if concierge is worth it since as I understand it there is no guarentee of a savannah view..... Honestly if I could get a drink (tea) at anytime of the day without having to walk down to Mara that might be worth the trade up! I LOVE fresh brewed iced tea which is hard to come by at Disney unless sitting in a restaurant. :confused3
